I love the golf course but just as important, I cherish the camaraderie, the culture and the community spirit of all members and staff. We are a diverse group with varying abilities and backgrounds, all committed to a higher sense of mutual respect and humility that is the true fabric of the Club and its membership. My heart still quickens on the drive in, and I always look forward to my next visit. We are so blessed and so thankful. What a special slice of heaven.

Directions to Secession Golf Club

From Hilton Head Island

Take Route 278 off of the Island to Route 170 North (bear to the right). Follow Route 170 over the Chechessee and Broad River Bridges. Take the first right after the Broad River Bridge, which is Route 802 East, and follow the Parris Island signs. Continue over the bridge at Parris Island and pass the Naval Hospital (on the right) to the first traffic light. You will see a sign to Lady’s Island. Turn right at the light, follow the Route 802 signs and drive over the MacTeer Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, take the first right onto Islands Causeway. Proceed a few hundred yards, and take the first left, which is the entrance to Secession. Continue down the road to the Bag Drop, parking lots and the Clubhouse.

From Savannah

Take Route 17 North out of the city over the bridge. Follow the Hilton Head Island signs to the junction of Route 46 and Route 170. Turn left onto Route 170 and pass Sun City. Follow Route 170 over the Chechessee and Broad River Bridges. Take the first right after the Broad River Bridge, which is Route 802 East, and follow the Parris Island signs. Continue over the bridge at Parris Island and pass the Naval Hospital (on the right) to the first traffic light. You will see a sign to Lady’s Island. Turn right at the light, follow the Route 802 signs and cross the MacTeer Bridge. Once you go over the bridge, take the first right onto Islands Causeway. Proceed a few hundred yards, and take the first left, which is the entrance to Secession. Continue down the road to the Bag Drop, parking lots and the Clubhouse.

From Savannah Airport and I-95 Traveling North

Follow exit signs to I-95 North. Take I-95 North to the second exit in South Carolina, which is Route 278 (Exit 8). Turn right at the top of the ramp, and drive exactly five miles, turning left at the sign to Beaufort. Stay on this road until it dead ends into Route 170 (approximately 6 miles). Turn left onto Route 170. Follow Route 170 over the Chechessee and Broad River Bridges. Take the first right after the Broad River Bridge, which is Route 802 East, and follow the Parris Island signs. Continue over the bridge at Parris Island and pass the Naval Hospital (on the right) to the first traffic light. You will see a sign to Lady’s Island. Turn right at the light, follow the Route 802 signs and drive over the MacTeer Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, take the first right onto Islands Causeway. Proceed a few hundred yards, and take the first left, which is the entrance to Secession. Continue down the road to the Bag Drop, parking lots and the Clubhouse.

Traveling South on I-95

Take Exit 33 off I-95, which is Route 17 North. Follow to Route 21 at Gardens Corner. Turn right onto Route 21, and follow signs to Beaufort (approximately 17 miles). Drive through the historic district of Beaufort and continue over the drawbridge. Take the first right (approximately ½ mile) after the bridge, which is Meridian Road. Continue until the road dead ends onto Route 802. Turn right and immediately left onto Islands Causeway. Proceed a few hundred yards, and take the first left, which is the entrance to Secession. Continue down the road to the Bag Drop, parking lots and the Clubhouse.

From Charleston Airport and City of Charleston

Exit the airport on the Mark Clark Expressway (I-526) and follow the signs to Route 17 South and Savannah. From the city, follow Route 17 South to Gardens Corner, where it intersects Route 21 East. Turn left onto Route 21 East and follow signs to Beaufort (approximately 17 miles). Drive through the historic district of Beaufort and continue over the drawbridge. Take the first right (approximately ½ mile) after the bridge, which is Meridian Road. Continue until the road dead ends onto Rte. 802. Turn right and immediately left onto Islands Causeway. Proceed a few hundred yards, and take the first left, which is the entrance to Secession. Continue down the road to the Bag Drop, parking lots and the Clubhouse.
